At our time at His Mansion, our team had the privilege of working alongside the female residents, doing life with them and hearing their testimonies of God’s redeeming work in their lives. Here’s the team!

Featuring Anna, Katie, Hayley, Hannah, Brenna, and Geneva!

While we can’t show any pictures of the sweet residents we met, we have many photos of the beautiful surroundings that greeted us each day. His Mansion is a residential addiction recovery community located on several acres of historic farming property that is home to several cows, chickens, rolling hills, gardens, and open fields.

Geneva making friends with some cows and goats

Our valiant attempt at hiking through the knee-deep snow (we didn’t get very far)

Our windy hike up to the cell tower where three crosses overlook the hilly landscape

The beauty of God’s creation ministered to us all, and so did the stories we heard from the female residents. Despite having gone through so much, they all have such strong hope and faith in the Lord. We got to know them as we shared meals and completed our work crew assignments throughout the day!

Some of the jobs we were able to do include: cooking in the kitchen, cleaning out buildings and the food cellar, sanding wood, repainting an office, and making cards in the craft room. Here’s a little look at that!

Cleaning out a bin of old onions… surprisingly a lot of fun!

Kitchen clean up crew :)

Brenna was really excited to use her sanding skills 🤩

Making spaces beautiful again~

We are so grateful for the hospitality that the His Mansion family showed us while we were there. While it initially seemed that we were going there to minister to the residents, we often found that they were ministering more to us through their encouragement, laughter, and welcoming attitude. God’s presence there is undeniable and it was an honor to see how He has been working faithful in so many lives. Please continue to pray for the His Mansion family, that those who are lost would find healing and that more staff and residents alike would find a home at His Mansion.
